We have a great deal of experience in commercial law. Our Principal holds Masters of Law (specialising in Commercial Transactions). On a day- to – day basis, our lawyers review and draft complex agreements and provide strategic legal advice.
Over the last 12 months, we have acted in transactions worth more than $100 million including raising capital, in complex asset sales, and in mergers and acquisitions. Within those transactions, we worked on sale and purchase agreements, legal due diligence, and contractor and employment agreements.
We have worked on complex business and share sale transactions including by assisting our clients with the negotiation and legal documentation. We have provided advice on pre-transaction restructuring. We have also had engagements with venture capital businesses looking to invest in established and start-up businesses.
Our lawyers have extensive experience with commercial transactions including share transfers, joint ventures, partnerships, and asset purchases. We are able to use our commercial experience to provide pragmatic, risk-based advice to our clients – empowering them to make the right decisions.
We have represented clients in all major courts and successfully litigated complex commercial disputes. We have also represented businesses both large and small in debt recovery matters.
We have provided employers with advice on complex areas of employment law including on the operation of the Fair Work Act in relation to termination and redundancy. We have represented both employees and employers in proceedings and successfully negotiated numerous settlements for our clients.
